Work Ahead Empty Work Ahead

Post by Okapi Tue Aug 24, 2010 12:06 am

I've found working ahead to be very helpful with my blog. When I know I have good posts written for the next few weeks, it really takes the pressure off when writing more material, because I know I have a few weeks to tweak and work with it. I'm not writing something that has a deadline of tomorrow.

This is a very good tip, Okapi. Working ahead of schedule is always the best thing to do. I hate procrastination. If you let things pile up on you, you can get overwhelmed extremely fast.

I have always tried to stay ahead on everything that I do. Otherwise, I would never get anywhere.

I think you have a great idea there. I always mean to work ahead just like that and somehow I never seen to get enough done to actually start to work ahead. I would love to hear more tips.

Part of what I do is set easy goals for myself to reach. For example, my blog updates 4 times a week. My main "writing day" is Monday. So every Monday, I sit down and make myself write 5 posts. Over several weeks, that one "extra" post that's left over can really add up!
