Taxes for Adsense? Empty Taxes for Adsense?

Post by Okapi Fri Aug 20, 2010 11:37 pm

Do you have to pay taxes on money made through Adsense? I'm asking because I honestly have no idea how "online income" is considered, seeing as how I've never had it before.

Taxes for Adsense? Empty Re: Taxes for Adsense?

I would say yes, because if I'm not mistaken they do ask for a tax ID or SS number when you register with them. Not to mention, I am sure they have to report their earnings and payouts to the Government as well, which would mean they would have to report your earnings.

From what I know, the best thing to do would be to would be to file your taxes on a quarterly basis.

How do you do that if you are not from the US of A and your income comes from worldwide sources? Do they accept tax ID from outside the US?

Taxes for Adsense? Empty Re: Taxes for Adsense?

I don't really know how to answer this question. I do know that for USA residents making money outside of the USA, you do not pay taxes on it at all. I don't know about, if the role was reversed....
