Blog, site, or both?

I am wondering if it is better to run a blog, a site or do both? By better I mean which one will show results and keep me in profit sooner and longer.

I like the idea of a blog, because it is simple and fast to set up and easy to edit. It is kind of a mini-website. However, you do not have as much control to add various things to a blog, especially if you are using wordpress.com. A website is much more versatile. If you know a little about HTML, then you can do pretty much anything with a website that you want.

As for which will do better profit wise, that is up to the person who sets it up and how much they promote the site or blog. The one suggestion I can make is always have your own domain name. Having your own domain name makes a huge difference. I made the mistake of not doing this in the beginning.

You can profit from a blog or website, you just need to be sure that you research the best keywords to use within the site or blog, market it in various ways consistently, and make sure that it is set up with the best monitization that it can possibly be set up with.

I haven't actually set one up for myself yet, but I have friends that have and they like the blogging, because it is so fast and easier to deal with. Especially, if you are a beginner.

In wordpress, you can have two in one. Blogs are called Posts and Website is called Pages. I recommend you guys go to Wordpress.com and start your domain (yourdomain.wordpress.com) first to get familiar with the features of wordpress first. This way you would have prepared yourself on wordpress so when you create your own domain (yourdomain.com) it takes a matter of a few hours to create your site and go online. Once you know the tricks you'd really know what to promote and what products out there will make money and how.

Stop reading and reading and reading and just posting on forums. You do learn a lot in the forums, you meet a lot of people – really good.

There is no money for you to start as wordpress is free. But once you decide it is time to get into making money online there are some minimal investments that you will have to make.

Act and work sooner as only then you get your hands dirty and you will know what it takes to make money online. When we read it is all illusive, once you dive it really goes deeper.

HTML and the advanced websites are excellent but a wordpress site should be enough to make money again with your own domain name.

You are absolutely correct. Wordpress is in my opinion the best place to set up shop. It has a lot of options that blogger does not have that will help you in your business. Thank you for your insight.
