Work At Home As A Notary

I don't know a whole lot about this, but I have a friend that is currently working at home by doing this. I would like to get some input in this area for our forum readers, as this is not something that you generally see in other forums.

I do know that there is money that can be made by getting into this. If you know anything at all about how to go about getting involved with this type of business and doing it out of your home, I hope you will make some comments in this section. It would make for some great reading........ bounce

I thought about becoming a Notary myself, butI have a friend who is a notary, however, she does not know how or who to promote herself to. She doesn't make any money from being a notary. Personally, since every bank notarizes, I feel it's almost pointless.

You are right, every bank does have a notary, so I am with you on this one.

The friend that I have that is a Notary is in business for herself. I don't know all of the details, but I do know that she mostly does notary work for Home Loan Closings in the person's home. The company that needs the notary work done on the loan calls her to set it up, gives her the documents on the computer to download and print, then off she goes to get everything signed. They pay her various amounts depending on how much is involved with each case.

I'm not real sure how she promotes herself, except by getting listed somewhere as a notary. She has been talking about promoting the business to places like Title Car Loan Companies locally. She recently told me that she is working on getting some of the laws updated to get notaries in Alabama more money.
