People who embark on a Pharmacy career must undertake hours of study to master their craft. As a result, they are one of the most important parts of the medical profession. One of the key changes is not only the position where pharmacies are now found. Many can now be located in places such as supermarkets, chair stores, and independent businesses as well as hospitals. However, even though pharmacists may be working less they are earning an average of 38% more annually.

Today's pharmacy situation has greatly changed from the home town pharmacist of years ago. They no longer know everyone who comes in and chats about local situations, or collects the money when the prescription is filled. Non-pharmacy technicians are now hired to do everything but fill the prescription which allows the pharmacist to just concentrate on their work.

Technology has also enhanced the workplace since it invaded the pharmacy area just like in other parts of civilization. New equipment allows pills to be counted or pre-prepared for dispensing. Telephones that automatically record prescription refill requests, drive-up windows manned by technicians, and many other additions have sped up the process of obtaining medications in a fast and efficient manner.

The salary for those who are employed in Pharmacist Jobs is very good and has, in fact, increased 38% annually over the past decade. A career in this field can be very profitable as well as, according to a survey, have a very high job satisfaction. This is one area of the economy where finding employment is not an issue. Many are finding a pharmacy career is a very good choice.
